COMPETITION DAY!!!!!!

WAKE UP!!!!

Again, I had to wake up at 5:00am to catch the earliest bus. Fuh!

When I reached GS Hotel, the coach and power lifters were trilled to see me!
They thought I won't make it because I warned them earlier, I maybe couldn't make it and they have to go themselves.

If it was not because of their friendliness and jovial heart, I wouldn't have the motivation to wake up so early.

When we reached the stadium, the 1st thing they did was to rush to the weighing machine.
Tzu Hui was force not to eat much in order to lose weight to 75kg.
Ya Hsuan pula was force to eat more in order to reach at least 60kg.
Haha... so funny! Tzu Hui who loves to eat couldn't eat and Ya Hsuan who didn't want to eat must eat.

I discovered losing or adding weight is strategies in power lifting competition. In power lifting competition, there are many categories according to the power lifter's weight. The women categories are up to 40kg, up to 44kg, up to 48kg, up to 52kg, up to 56kg and the list goes on until over 82.5kg. So if the power lifter's weight is 50kg then she should be in the 52kg category. However if in 52kg category, her competitor is too great for her to compete with. Then, the coach will either ask her to add weight to qualify for 56kg category or lost weight to 48kg category. As easy as that! Understand?
That's the reason the power lifters lost or add weight! Same goes with other games like judo and boxing which the category divided according to their weight.

Another amazing thing I discovered is how to lost few kilos of weight in just 3 to 5 days. Just avoid drinking water and food with lots of water contain such as watermelon. Eat chicken better than any other meat. Guarantee it works BUT not healthy. The athletics do it during competition only. After losing weights, their energy level will go down too. Bad for health!!

Another amazing thing I discovered is the clothes we wear, weigh a lot! The tee, pants, socks, shoes... weigh about 1.5kg to 3kg. Serious! At 1st, I thought it doesn't make much different but it does! So, next time don't be so keksim if you weigh more, you maybe wearing extra weights.

Okay, back to the story.

First, the power lifters have to go for official weighing. Followed by, warming up. Then only the competition starts. Lastly, urine test/doping.

*Urine test is a freaking test! I rather take SPM twice. The officer will follow you around until you took the urine test. Before the test, must drink lots and lots of water because the minimum amount of urine to be collected is 70ml. And, the worst is must urine in front of them!! If I want to be athletic, I will think 10000 times about going through urine test before I make my decision.*

Wa... I never thought Power Lifting could be interesting to watch.

In Power Lifting, 3 tries were given to each power lifter to lift their best weight. As the Power Lifters lift the weights, they must lift up the weight and lift down, stop for a moment then lift up again. It must be lift in a stable condition too. Then only the referee will qualifies it as a GOOOOD LIFT, if not NOOOOOOOO LIFT. Understand?

So, the coach has to gamble the amount of weight for the Power Lifter to lift. If put a heavier weigh, the power lifter may not be able to lift. But if put lower a bit, the competitor may win by just a little. The job of the coach is quite challenging too. Hahaha... Stressful!

At the end of the day, the Chinese Taipei gals each won a medal.

Ya Hsuan with her bronze medal

Tzu Hui with her gold medal

What a successful day! Proud of them! =)

After they won, the coach, assistant, and the power lifters came and thank me for helping them to win the medals.
I was like -_-?
No, no no... I didn't do anything to help you win!!

I felt so humbled and unworthy.

Lesson learned : Every success comes with tons of hard work. Success doesn't just drop from the sky!

Summary for the lazy/blur/ not so ah-ma readers :

Competition day! Ya Hsuan won bronze and Tzu Hui won gold. What a great day!

26.11.2006

please save your time to read the bible. just skip to the summary. heh!

today's schedule
8:00am -10:00am training

training center

Great! *happily* =)
Wa... duty end at 10am. So, I predicted could reached K17 at about 2pm.

Great! *sarcastically* =/
Wa... I have to catch the 1st bus at 5:30am. So, I had to wake up at 5:00am. WAH!!!

I managed to wake up myself at 5:00am!
Fuh! Truly, what a MIRACLE!
I only can do it by the grace of God

Happily, I reached GS Hotel on time too.
The competition started that day!

Everything was set up for the game!

*addition/tambahan :
In the training hall, suddenly, the Chinese Taipei contingent medical doctor asked me to squat down with my feet together. I did with much questioning. Then, he asked me to take off my shoes and do it again. I reluctantly obey again. Later, he asked me lift my leg, bend my leg... I did it with much difficulty. Then, he put his 2 fingers and pressed on certain area at my back. I YELLED SO LOUD inside. I didn't yelled out, because there was a lot of people including the good looking Korean guy was there. OMG, it was so painful. I was almost in tears.

Then, he went on to explained that my tendon was too tight. And, continue with the gravity and pressure theory Therefore, I hunch at times and my legs could curve in. He taught me some exercise to loosen the tendon.

Wa... so bless to have a professional doctor to advise me for FREE. Since young, nobody told me this. People used to nag about my posture but no one gave me solution to it. After the advice, whenever I saw the doctor, I was super stressed because I knew he would analyze my poster, the way I walk and sit, and my standing. FUYOH!

The gals athletics wanted to stay back to watch the game but the concerned coach didn't allow.
Later, the gals told me the coach checked on them every 2 hours. He even called them frequently, just to make sure everything was okay.
OMG! By the way, the coach stayed in the room beside theirs only and they are adult already!! Such discipline I can't take it!
Whatever it is, the coach is a very nice man like a father figure.

After training, we went back.
I lepak-ed and MSN at the FESPIC secretariat's room in GS Hotel.
At there, I helped an Iraqi lady to register her digi sim card. I was pathetic. I'm not so good with non-nokia handphone but was glad I managed to help her.
Then, I meet 2 GS Hotel's managers.

"Wa... what you doing?" asked manager A
"see my blog, friendster, check email," I said with fear and trembling since I was not supposed to use. It was for the athletics only.
"erm... please do not disturb her. She is doing something very important," said manager B
I was laughing away.
"excuse me. She's is blogging and looking at her friendster. I got friendster, myspace, and blog. I want to add her, okay!" replied manager B

They continued to fool around. Wah... so blessed by their friendliness. I was so afraid of managers but not anymore! Thanks to them.

Later, I decided to go lobby to take a rest.
Before I slept, Iraqi ladies were around me.
When I woke up, Iraqi ladies were around me too.
Then, I looked at my watch. I slept for ONE hour already. FUH!
*for your information, the Iraqi ladies don't sit together with the men or any close contact.*
Then, the same Iraqi lady I helped earlier said,"You slept for ONE hour!"

Fuh, I must seemed so tak senonoh to her since I slept in public. Hahaha...
Her friend offered kacang to me. So touched cause people always say Iraqi are kiam siap! =)

I waited till 1:30pm, still no bus. So I decided to go Putra Staduim with the Pakistan Ping Pong contingent to Putra Stadium for greater probability to go back K17.

The Pakistani were chatting away loudly. Me, sitting at the back of the bus, were threatened by them but they turned out to be far more friendly than I expected.

They asked me for Malaysia's souvenir, so half-heartedly I gave 2 "visit Malaysia 2007" pens that I took earlier to them.
But mana tahu, in return, they gave me 2 Pakistan Pin and 1 ring.
His own ring! I didn't want to take but he insisted. Later, their coach offered to belanja ice-cream everyone including me. *lagi touched* Wish I have their picture.

When I reached Putra Stadium, I waited lagi. I found the bus to UPM at 3:30pm.
I was on cloud nine, but the bus decided to wait for more people.
I slept for another hour.
Woke up, still not moving.
At that moment, I was in tears...
Tears kept rolling down. I was exhausted! I just needed sleep on the bed!

At that moment, the bus driver came in. Pathetically, I asked him to go UPM.

"Uncle, can go UPM now? I waited since 10am," *tried not to cry*

He must be kesian-ed me, he called his boss for permission to move. Then, the bus really moved. *so touched*

FUH! More tears fell. Tears of happiness.... *

5:30pm, I reached K17. Finally!
Ate ice-cream and then slept for a long long time......

Lesson learned :
Waiting is difficult. I must learned to enjoy the waiting. Sounds crazy but I get super stressed when I needed to wait. So I must learn to relax during the waiting time. Shouldn't not focus on the problem but the fun and depend on God.

Summary for the lazy/blur/ not-so-ah-ma readers :
NOTHING HAPPEN! I just kept waiting and waiting... From 10am to 4:30pm. Longest wait! =)

Edited : A lot random and blessed incident happened but I was too focus to go back till I forgotten the enjoying moments.

The Prophet was in TOWN

...............................................................................................................................................................................................................
lately, i have been chatting in MSN in Chinese with my athletics.
it's a miracle!! fuh, Sue Ern want to learn Chinese.recently, i discovered the lack of proficiency in Chinese has blocked me from doing a lot of stuff i want to do. so here i am, learning Chinese again.

Date: 6th - 9th Dec 2006
Venue : Bayu Beach Resort
The Prophetic Conference was conducted by Ps Paul and Christina.

Our schedule was like this :
7:00am - 8:00am morning devotion most of the time I was sleeping in the room
8:00am - 9:00am breakfast!
9:00am - 11:15am conference
11:15am - 11:30am toilet break
11:30am - 1:00pm conference
1:00pm - 2:00pm lunch time!
2:00pm - 4:30pm rest ZzzzZZzzzzz
4:30pm - 6:30pm conference
6:30pm - 7:30pm dinner time!
7:30pm - 11:00pm conference

People from all over the world came to this Prophetic Conference. Fuh! India, US, UAE, Australia, Ghana, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand and many more. Total 17 nationality!

There were four powerful, anointed speakers : Ps Paul & Christina Ang from Malaysia, Ps Emmanuel from Africa, and Ps Thomas from India.

Every conference started with Praise & Worship, followed by preaching/teaching. Lasting, ministry time/ prophecy.

The P&W team was from Manila, Philippines - Jesus Loves You Ministry. They sang with power! Though most of the are young, they are so gifted.

For the 1st time, I saw God moved so powerfully. The prophecies were super duper accurate and detail. The speakers prophesied with power and confidence!

Once Ps Thomas was prophesying for Peter. No one stood up and he didn't ask Peter to stand up. He prophesied and said he'll have studios for filming and some other detail stuff. After that, he spoke on other things.
Then, out of the sudden, he asked the cameraman at the end of the room,"What's you name?"
"Peter,"
the cameraman replied.
Such accuracy I had never seen.

He could prophesied about the past and people could testify it is really true!

Another time, Ps Thomas asked Ps Emmanuel,"There is a man named Patrick working for you. Is he here?"
Fuh! Really, there's a man named Patrick with Ps Emmanuel.

How could he hear God so clearly!!
He did mention. It's not a problem to hear God, the problem is "will we have faith and willing to obey God."
Wa... very true!
I always pray,"God speak to me."
Now, I should asked myself,"Do I want to obey when God speak!"

*reminder : We can be in the most powerful conference/place, but not being felt connected if our hearts are not ready and not tune to God. Therefore, always be ready. Pray without ceasing and root yourself in the word of God! Amen.*

There were diamond dust dropped from heaven in the conference. I heard of gold dust but not diamond dust.
Isn't God amazing?

*inside joke : After a lady testify she saw and picked up diamond dust. People started looking for diamond dust. There was a lady, Mercy dressed in Punjabi suit with glitters on it. After the service, few guys took her chair and collected the glitters.
I was potongstim just like Anna like to say, I went and selamba-ing said,"ermm... it's not diamond dust. It's just glitters from the punjabi suit!" The worst part was I was laughing crazily. Hope they were not offended. =P*

CLA were honoured to have Ps Thomas to preach in CLA.
The Prophet was in town! Malacca Town!!
Fuh! As usual, God moved mightily.
I'm excited for what God is going to do in CLA!!
Amen! Be ready!

And Ps Thomas also challenged us to bring somebody to CLA to be blessed!
So here I am inviting everyone and asking you to invite everyone to CLA!

CLA church service :
Saturday 7:30pm
Sunday 8:30am and 10:30am
Any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

God has a great future for you and for me.
Come, be blessed and be a blessing.
May the joy of the Lord fills your heart!

By the way, the next prophetic conference will be held early Dec 2007 in Penang. Save money and go and be blessed. Want to know further details, just ask.

25.11.2006

super lots pictures ahead for lazy/blur/ not so ah-ma people!

Fuh! No training. We are going for OPENING CEREMONY 4:00ppm -6:00pm at KL Football Stadium, Cheras! *remember*

I realized my duty was like the assistant of a super star. I not only followed them everywhere they went. I make sure the transport, food, schedule, water, welfare, documents and others were taken care of. Conclusion, I have to handle everything about them; their requests, problems, time schedule...

At 2pm, we boarded the bus. We ended up waiting for 1hour in the bus because they wanted 15rapid KL bus to be full then together the polices will escort us.

While waiting, I got to know more people in the bus. And discovered more info about my super friendly athletics

Chinese Taipei Power Lifter! Gooooo....
They liked to chat about wheel chair.
price? color? imported? brand? weight? use how long? material?
I guess it's just like talking about our own car.

Macau, China Swimmer!
All of them were super chirpy and friendly.
Instead of me making feeling comfortable,
they entertained me with lots of story!

FUH! For the 1st time I could experience to be escort!
Every road seemed like my father's road.
Cars just made way for us. *AWESOME*Like the parting of the red sea*

When we reached the stadium, we had to wait some more. Apa lagi, camera out!

4 shock sendiri Chinese Taipei LOs
The guy actually thought we were orang Taipei!
Patutlah, treat us well! -_-

And US ~Tzu Hui & ME & Ya Hsuan~

And I met more interesting people.

Guess what coach is he?
Basketball? WRONG!
Football? WRONG!
His sport don't have to use his super long legs!
He is the Archery coach for Chinese Taipei.
Why he play archery and not basketball because his parents were archery champion!
So no choice lar...

The archery athletics have ONE trademark!
All of them are super dark!
He is a master holder. He stayed in US for years but his English is 0_O
He had a translator with him all the time. That's why!!
He was super duper funny + friendly + very cheeky at times!
He loves to eat, and eat nonstop!

The people of Wallis et Futuna
They looked tough and fierce but actually they were friendly too!
Don't judge a book by it's cover!

Ready to marched in!
we the terabai LOs had to stand behind :(

WELCOME!
beautifully
dressed Malaysian in unique traditional clothes
it was too unique till I have no idea what costume was it!

Tons of cultural dance!
quite entertaining but I was standing in the middle of the field and not at the spectators sit. So I miss out a lot!

Sweaty mascots
Shock sendiri again with mascots!

People from many nations
just imagine in heaven, people from every nation,
every tongue worshiping Jesus!

How glories will it be?

Flag raising ceremony

Look at the amount of reporters!

Pak Lah giving one souvenir for each country
Wa... I saw Pak Lah LIVE twice in Nov.
How cool! =)

When He reached Chinese Taipei,
he asked Ya Hsuan,"what country are you from?"
"Chinese Taipei!" she replied.
Then, he handed her the souvenir.
Pak Lah walked to the next person
and asked,"what country are you from?"
The athletic proclaimed,"TAIWAN!"
Pak Lah then, handed him the souvenir! -_-
OMG! Chinese Taipei = Taiwan!
I think they are *half insulted* and *half happy* as they received 2 souvenirs!
Politicians need to learn geography too!
I used to think geography was nonsense but now I realized I need to know!

Later, we rushed out to get transport!

Lesson learned :
It's not about the situation, it's about how I handle and see the situation!
When things go wrong, smile, thank God and enjoy ourselves! ;)

Summary for lazy/blur/not so ah-ma reader :
We went to the opening ceremony. See the pictures!

Power Lifting training at 4:00-6:00pm. *remember*take note*

Reached GS Hotel early. So I decided to shop around the area to release stress!
Bought some cheap random stuff - wrapping paper, ring, earrings, kacang...

Being a super good LO, I bought 3 Malaysian fruits for them - longan, nangka and buah salak! *ehem*

longan

nangka

buah salak
shame on you if you are Malaysia and don't know buah salak!

After I went round the whole place, I only discovered I just jalan-jalan ALONE at Chow Kit road!
The most dangerous road in Malaysia!
Thank God, nothing happen to me. And, it's not as scary as it was describe by people.
Chow Kit Road is almost like Melaka Bunga Raya.

Time to go to stadium.
At the training, the super good looking Korean guy spoke to me for the 1st time. *almost melted*

Tremendously tired after reaching K17 but still managed to torture roommates with my craps! *Thanks to patience and enduring roommates! =>*

Lesson learned :
Do to others what you want them to do to you!
God will not forsake me even when I walk through dark valley.

When to shop in Chow Kit Road and bought Malaysian fruits for athletics before heading to stadium for training!

9:30am
Time to wake up!
Athletics have to go training! WAKE UP!!
It was a miracle I could wake up on time.
Thank God that my athletics didn't have to go for classification and welcoming ceremony. That saved me lots of energy, time, and phone calls!
Thank God for every second of extra sleep and rest.

I woke up feeling angry and still couldn't forgive the person who took my stuff.
I prayed that God would teach me to be more willing to give and stop grumbling.

"It's better to give to receive"
"God loves a cheerful giver" Amen!

What a mood to start the day!

I had to take a bus from K17 to K11. Then from K11 to Grand Season Hotel.
Every stop, I had to wait about an hour and the journey is an hours.
FUH! I was super tired even before I reached the GS Hotel to escort them to their training stadium.

1:00pm
Finally, I reached GS Hotel. I was on time =) Met up with my oh-very-lovable athletics and then we headed to power lifting training stadium, KL Badminton Stadium Cheras.

2:00pm
We reached the stadium on time too. Ya Hsuan and Tzu Hui were on cloud nine when they saw the Korean power lifting contingent! Me, the blur case didn't know what was going on.

During the training, Kua Tai asked for mineral water and the organizer gave him the tiny 500ml water bottle. I was too embarrassed that I decided to buy it for him.

As I was walking out to search for mineral water, I spotted an orang asli kid.
"sini ada jual air mineral?"
"ar... ada" he cheerfully said as he held out his hand
"tolong saya beli?"
"boleh! berapa botol? besar? kecil?"
"5 besar," I gave him RM10

Then, came his friend.
"mungkin tak cukup. belanja sikit?"
I thought again. "Ya, maybe RM2.10 per bottle."
So, I held out another RM5 and I said,"keep the change."

Before, they happily rode their bicycle off.
He told me:"tunggu sini ok! takut tak dapat cari, kak."

The moment they rode off, I somehow knew they not coming back!
The confirmation came a few second later.
"Mereka budak jahat! takkan balik!" said the friendly bus driver.

Without wasting much time, I went to buy the water myself.
I was not pissed off for being cheated but a lil disappointed.
I asked God why!
Why, God? Why you allow me to be cheated?
I don't normally do that! They even sound so real!
Asked for tips and warned me not to go away!
Oh why? Why God?

Then, suddenly I remember "it's better to give than to receiver"
Wa... I felt so happy inside out! I was able to forgive my friend who took my stuff.
Plus, I was glad that I was cheated. Sounds crazy but true.
A lesson to learned with RM15 is worth it!

While they were training, I got to know my athletics better.
For the 1st time, I saw power lifters in action LIVE!
At 1st, it was super scary and amazing to see them lifting 200kg.

Big Bro Kua Tai is in big action!

Compared to them, I was like sotong.

Lesson Learned :
It's better to give than to receive. And remember, give with a cheerful heart, just the way God loves it.

Summary for lazy/blur/not so ah-ma reader :
I asked God to teach me to give with a cheerful heart. And I learned the joy of giving by being cheated RM15 by 2 kids.
